  1. Excellent job by the committee in putting together the Family Church Camp. This blog site is also an excellent idea. Very informative and useful.

I do not seem to be able to find the Camp Programme. Is there one posted herein? I think it would be useful to have the camp programme so that we need to know time for checking in and checking out and the various sessions during the camp duration.

Keep up the good work Camp Committee!! I thank God for your faithful service and for your sacrifice of time and resources.

  2. Hi, Bro Hock Fee!

Thanks for being the first person to check out our camp blog and for your encouraging words.

The Camp Programme will be up shortly.

btw, if you have testimonies of your past camp experience, do feel free to share as we want to encourage members especially the new ones in our church who might not have any idea what church camps are all about.

    God bless!

  3. According to your church camp programme, the last day of camp, lunch is not being served.Won’t it be troublesome for those going back by coaches and even if they do stop for lunch it would be very late. Seniors and children may be very hungry by then. Proposed to have lunch before departure for home.

  4. Wah! very high tech. Also got blog for church camp. Keep the info flowing.

Well done, church camp committee. Keep it up & God Bless.

  5. Hi, Susan!

Thanks for visiting the camp blog.

We note your concern and we will arrange for the coaches to stop at a nearby restaurant to have your lunch at your own expense before the long journey home.

Trust we have allayed your concerns.

  6. Thanks for visiting our blog, Bro. Sieng Kooi!

We thank God for advance technology because it enables us to cover as many areas as possible in promoting the camp. Moreover, it’ll be good to keep up with the many bloggers in our church and this is one of the ways of reaching out to them.

  7. Glad to note that the Church is becoming more high tech. This site sure beats calling someone on the committee for info.

I just wish to find out what is the programme for Junior Church goers.

  8. Hi, Bro. Winston!

    You read our minds! :-)

As for the children’s programme (for 4 to 12-year olds), the camp schedule applies. The adult and children sessions will run simultaneously. Ps. Raymond and his team will be conducting a special children programme for the young ones in the hall next to the adults’.

Children below 4 years can stay with their parents. We are intending to get another room near the meeting hall for maids and toddlers. Toddlers can have their nap there.

Hope that answers your query. :-)

  9. Praise god for the excellent information by the commitees tro’ this advance technologies!! At least we do not need to ask so many questions regarding the camp….god bless!!

  10. Thanks, Helen! :-)

  11. Why are there no more tea breaks, night caps during the first 3 days and lunch on the last day, as in previous church camps.

On the second, there is free time after lunch and on the third day, the free time is even longer. For those who are going by coach, they cannot go anywhere because Damai Laut is far from town.

  12. Hi, Michelle!

Thank you for visiting our Camp blogsite.

We are happy to address your enquiries as follows:

    1. Teabreaks and night caps…
In the previous camps, we had teabreaks (or intervals) because there were morning sessions and morning workshops. For the past three camps, we scrapped off the workshops and maintain just one morning session daily. Therefore, there was no need for teabreaks. However, campers are free to have their toilet breaks on their own. Also, we would like to give the Camp Speaker the flexibility and more time to minister to the campers.

You’ll be pleased to know that light refreshment will be served after the night sessions.

    2. Free time
We used to have workshops in the afternoon but from our past surveys, a big majority have requested for more free time in the afternoon to spend with their family & friends, for recreation or rest.

Campers’ participation will be requested for games session on Monday, 2 June from 3.30 – 6.00pm.

Campers who choose the coach will obviously have less freedom in movement. Campers could choose to make advance plans to go out with their friends who are driving there or opt for free hotel shuttle service (we will explain more during the camp briefing this weekend).

    3. No Lunch on the last day
A lot of campers go off immediately after the morning session. It is very difficult to estimate how many people are staying back for lunch and a lot of food is wasted due to this. For prudence and good stewardship, we have decided to do away with lunch on the last day.

We hope we have addressed all your concerns.

    Thank you and God bless!

  13. Thanks for organising the camp. It is indeed the best holiday that we’ve ever had as a family. Here we can enjoy our holiday as well as be enriched spiritually. In other words, it’s the one and only holiday package that is beneficial and we’ve always look forward to it. Keep it up!

  14. Hi, V-nnii!

We are so glad that you and your family have signed up for the camp. This is a great encouragement to us!

With Camp just 9 days away, things are getting busier over here. Please remember us in your prayers that everything will go well and smoothly for the glory of God and for the benefit of the campers.

    See you at the Camp!
